The Ladies' Invitational

2021 Ladies’ Invitational ~ Choose Your Game

We hope that you had a great time on Saturday! For some of you, this was your first experience with golf or a tournament. Our intention was to provide an inclusive event that caters to all skill levels and one in which we could experience enjoyable formats.

For the beginning and developing golfer, it’s about laughter and being together in a supportive environment.  This is what sustains us as we develop our skills. For the majority of women golfers, this is the most important aspect of the sport.

For the competitive golfer, it’s about striving to improve her skills through goal setting and strategizing. Camaraderie also plays an important role.

Hence, ‘Choose Your Game’ was born, a tournament that provided an option for golfers. This is a novel concept, which we were proud to have been able to offer, at a time when women needed an opportunity to socialize.

We have prepared a video presentation to capture the Ladies’ Invitational – Choose Your Game 2021 event. To access this video and additional photos, click on the button below (Expires September 13, 2021):

A heartfelt thanks to Chrissy McDannold for her creativity and the many long hours she dedicated to this unique and exciting event. I would also like to thank the committee members and fellow golfers who came together to cut, paste, colour, and organize.

We feel fortunate to have such a beautiful course in the heart of Peterborough and are very appreciative and thankful to our excellent staff in the Pro Shop and ‘House’.  To Jennifer Pendrith, our superintendent, special thanks for making this course a true gem in Canada.

Many thanks to all participants for taking time out of busy schedules to come together to support women’s golf, our club, and Kawartha Food Share. It has been a challenging year in our community, and we appreciate your efforts to promote food security for our fellow citizens. Four full bins of food were collected. The 50/50 proceeds resulted in $615 being donated to KFS along with an additional $500 raised on Saturday. Truly wonderful and appreciated!

Finally, a big ’shout-out’ to our sponsors. Without them, we could not have provided such spectacular prizes for the two formats.

Stay tuned to our website for a video from the day and an announcement about next year’s event.
